Join us for a fun-filled day of field visits, lunch, education, and awards hosted by the Nebraska Community Forestry Council and Nebraska Forest Service!

Agenda (tentative):

Morning in the field!

9:00 am - 10:30 am Cody Park, North Platte’s premier park and arboretum, history and tour by Lyle Minshull, and Tree ID with Justin Evertson. Meet at the concession stand.

10:45 am to 11:45 am Crewdson’s Creation Sawmill to learn about how they utilize wood and tour the facility.

Afternoon at Lincoln County Fairgrounds Ag Activity Center

12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Lunch and Networking (BBQ Buffet)

1:00 pm to 3:30 pm Keynote speaker, updates, and awards. Distribution of Tree City Booklets.

Who is invited? City staff, tree board members, city administrators, elected officials, etc.

Lunch: BBQ lunch

Cost: $25/person. (Eventbrite set up note: NFS covers fee. We also need a free registration code set up that we can provide to our council members and NFS staff. )
