The Navigator (U) with Live Organ Accompaniment

In this revered silent comedy, the wealthy and impulsive Rollo Treadway (Buster Keaton) decides to propose to his beautiful socialite neighbor, Betsy O'Brien (Kathryn McGuire). Alhough Betsy turns Rollo down, he still opts to go on the cruise that he intended as their honeymoon. When circumstances find both Rollo and Betsy on the wrong ship, they end up having adventures on the high seas, allowing Keaton plenty of opportunities to display his trademark agility.

We are pleased to welcome David Ivory back to Thorngate Halls to accompany the film following his wonderful performance at our screening of The General.

The evening will begin with a talk about Buster Keaton, with a particular focus on The Navigator, the film that elevated him to stardom.

Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children/students with a family ticket available for £25.

We are delighted that the organ at Thorngate Halls in back in working condition to allow us to present this film.
