The Native Americans of Canonchet

Local historian and archaeologist Joseph (Jay) Waller has spent thirty years researching Native American and Narragansett Indian settlements of Rhode Island. He has specifically studied the shores of Point Judith Pond and the Narrow River. In honor of Native American Heritage month, he will lead a walk on the Canonchet Farm trails and share his insights into the daily lives of the Narragansetts and their ancestors who occupied these lands for millennia.
