Join the Grinch and his pack of merry elves, reindeer and other holiday creatures as we skate to see the Christmas Tree at National Harbor. (So, start planning out your costume! ;))This is a 21 mile skate that will meet at 1100am at Gravely Point at the end of the runway. We will return about 3:30.
We will leave from there and skate through National Airport, Crystal City and Old Town and then circle around to get on the pedestrian walk of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. We will skate up and over the bridge and enjoy the view and the spiral ramps on the Maryland side. We will continue on the path to National Harbor around the water. If it is warm we might grab an ice cream or a shake at National Harbor. ;) Or if cold, we can get a Hot Chocolate! Gotta get some energy to head home! ;)
Then we will head back the same way. The skate is relatively flat except for an overpass at the airport and the climb and downhill at the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
We welcome bikers, skateboarders, one-wheels, scooters or anything else that can keep our pace!
