The National Ballet of Canada’s YOU dance program is designed to introduce families and youth to the theatrical art of ballet.
Featuring The National Ballet of Canada’s RBC Apprentices, and accompanied by a pianist and a host, this curated one-hour performance of both classical and contemporary works on the Southam Hall stage is a wonderful learning opportunity for families and students of all ages.
Audiences will have the opportunity to meet the RBC Apprentices, learn about the pieces being performed, gain insight into the life of a professional dancer and discover the many elements that come together to bring a ballet production to life.

Le Ballet national du Canada – Spectacle YOU dance pour les familles
Le programme YOU dance du Ballet national du Canada vise à initier les jeunes et les familles à l’art théâtral du ballet.
Interprétée par les artistes du programme d’apprentissage RBC du Ballet national du Canada, cette représentation d’une heure sur la scène de la Salle Southam d’œuvres classiques comme contemporaines, avec accompagnement au piano et animation, est une formidable occasion d’apprendre pour les petits et les grands.
Le public aura l’occasion de rencontrer les artistes du programme d’apprentissage RBC, d’en apprendre davantage sur les pièces présentées, de découvrir le quotidien d’un·e danseur·se professionnel·le et d’explorer les nombreux éléments qui se conjuguent pour donner vie à une production de ballet.
