Prospect Park Alliance, Fort Greene Park Conservancy, and Rooftop Films announce Summer Movies in the Park, presented by NewYork-Presbyterian. This free, outdoor movie series in Prospect Park and Fort Greene Park takes place on Wednesday nights this summer, with screenings on August 5th and August 12th in Prospect Park, and August 26th and September 9th in Fort Greene Park.

In this film by Mira Nair, based on the novel by Jhumpa Lahiri, the Ganguli family maintain a delicate balancing act between honoring the traditions of their native India and blending into American culture after moving from Calcutta to New York.

The films will begin shortly after sundown; come early to picnic and enjoy pre-movie entertainment. Please note that the movie may be cancelled in the case of inclement weather. Attendees will be notified via Eventbrite and the Prospect Park and Fort Greene Park social media channels.
