The Nadas

Iowa’s signature alt-rock-country band formed in 1993. The Nadas are fronted by Mike Butterworth (vocals, guitar) and Jason Walsmith (vocals, guitar) and backed by Neil Stoffregen (keys), Brandon Stone (percussion), and Brian Duffey (horns and bass). They have independently cultivated a career by relying on solid song writing, memorable lyrics, outstanding musicianship and a fiercely loyal fan base. The band released two records for the Nomad label in the late ‘90s before signing with Des Moines-based independent label Authentic Records for albums such as Coming Home, Transceiver, Listen Through the Static, Ghosts Inside These Halls, and Almanac. They recently released a greatest “hits” album, featuring 20 fan favorites and one new track last March, titled “ICYMI” (In Case You Missed It).
