Soothe your soul with an intimate evening of stories and songs by award winning songwriter Amy Speace!"Let's make it clear from the outset - Amy Speace is among the best singer-songwriters America has produced in the last 10 years" - Goldmine (Lee Zimmerman)
Heralded by Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine and The New York Times and featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered”, Amy Speace was discovered by Judy Collins, who signed her to her record label and has recorded her songs. She’s the 2020 winner of the AMA UK’s International Song of the Year. Her 2024 release, “The American Dream,” became the #1 record and the title track was named #1 song in the FAI Radio Charts for its first month out. Her 10th record, released in November of 2025, “The Blue Rock Session,” is an album of 11 songs she recorded solo acoustic in three hours at a studio in Wimberley, TX during a writer’s retreat. The record includes a solo recording of her well-known song “The Sea and the Shore,” previously released as a duet with John Fullbright and debuts her own version of her song “The Weight of the World,” which Judy Collins has recorded. It too reached #1 on the FAI Radio Chart, in December. Amy has played many festivals around the world, including Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Glastonbury Music Festival, legacy stages like The Grand Ole Opry and The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Last Summer, she published, “To The Performer: A Singer-Songwriter’s Handbook” based on her 20 years of teaching performance. She holds an MFA in poetry from Spalding University and is a professor of creative writing at Cumberland University.
A well-respected writer, she’s had essays published in The New York Times, No Depression, Working Mother Magazine, Salon.com and leads workshops in songwriting and performance. Her forthcoming debut collection of poetry will be published by Red Hen Press on September 1, 2026. A national music & poetry tour will follow and run through Spring of 1027. In late May she will be releasing a stand alone single/video, “The Reckoning” about the unrest in Minneapolis, MN. In July, she will be releasing a stand alone single/video of Woody Guthrie’s “Plane Wreck at Los Gatos” accompanied by a video, to help raise awareness for the ACLU. Her 6th appearance on the Mountain Stage Radio Show (NPR Music), will tape on June 7th and she will debut her new duo Salt + The Wound (w/Kenny Foster) on a song. It should air in late August or early September. On August 28th, she will releasing a stand alone single of “Days Of Letting Go”. In late October, she’ll be releasing a re-recording/re-imaging of “Ginger Ale And Lorna Doones”.
“Known for her sharp songwriting and folk-rooted sound... Real stories, unpolished performance.”
