Welcome to our annual Buckingham Moulin Rouge freestyle with a twist. We have invited two of the most gifted teachers, Veronika Oliver and Juan Pablo Bellina, to host the afternoon workshops.
We met Juan Pablo at the Escuela Mundial Tango School in 2022. An excellent communicator of ideas, his classes vastly improved our connection, opening the door to a more adventurous way to enjoy close-hold dancing. As an international ambassador for Tango touring mainland Europe, we are privileged to have him come to the UK as our guest. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from the best.
I first met Veronika in November 2000 at the Jivetime Weekender at Pontins Camber. Her love of dance and exquisite dress sense stood out, and it’s no surprise that this is manifested in her love of burlesque. A natural fit for Moulin Rouge, we are delighted to bring you a ladies’ styling workshop on steroids.
Let’s discuss our headline freestyle event. The venue has a fully sprung dance floor, air conditioning in both halls, superb sound and lighting, and plenty of parking space outside. Refreshments are complimentary throughout the evening. There is no bar, but you can bring alcoholic refreshments into the venue. Marc and Rachel share the DJ decks in the main hall. On this occasion, the side hall will play traditional Argentine tango plus a touch of smooth blues and nuevo tango music.
Doors open for the freestyle at 7:45 p.m., and music is between 8 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. You don’t need to worry about booking ahead of time. It’s £14 on the door by card or cash. We advise early arrival to get the best seats in the house!!!
