Actors Circle presents “The Miss Firecracker Contest” by Beth Henley, at Providence Playhouse, 1256 Providence Rd. in Scranton.

Directed by Kandis Hill, show dates are September 26, 27, 28, 29, October 4, 5, 6, 2024. Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays at 7PM, Sundays at 2PM.

Tickets are $15 General, $12 Seniors, $10 Students. Thursday, September 26, all tickets are $10.

This boisterous and bold dark comedy takes place as the summer air is beginning to heat up in Brookhaven, a rural town in Mississippi. Residents prepare with excitement for their annual Miss Firecracker Contest, a beauty and talent pageant held every summer on the Fourth of July.
