TAPA and Tillamook Vision Center announce the opening of "The Miracle Worker", written by William Gibson and directed by Ann Harper. "The Miracle Worker" runs May 29-June 14. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:00 pm, Sunday shows start at 2:00 pm.Based on the true story of Helen Keller and her teacher Annie Sullivan, "The Miracle Worker" follows a young girl trapped in silence after losing her sight and hearing, and the determined teacher who helps her discover language, connection, and hope. Filled with emotion, humor, and unforgettable moments, The Miracle Worker is a powerful story about perseverance and the human spirit.
This production features a talented cast of youth and adult performers, many taking on the unique challenge of portraying characters who are blind through expressive physical storytelling.
ASL instruction for the actors and interpretation for this production is provided through the TBCC ASL program. This program supports the development of students’ ASL knowledge while helping expand access and connection within the community.
