Meet the sturgeon, a "living fossil" that has survived for millions of years and can live for 150 years. These ancient fish hold spiritual significance in Indigenous stories and legends, and have long served as an important food source. But here's the twist: settlers once saw them as pests, then hunted them nearly to extinction for their precious caviar. Today, sturgeons are fighting to survive.
