🎉 We're Back Mer-Friends!🎉
It's O-Fish-al, The Mermaid Run® is back again for its 6th year! With a Fin-tastic Mermaid Medal, Mermazing Tshirt and so much more.
Is this your 5th year running The Mermaid Run®? If your answer is Yes, then you are in for a double Mer-Medal! The Mythic Medal is for those Merfriends who have participated in The Mermaid Run for 5 years. If you belive you qualify for this medal please email [email protected].
The fun never stops at The Mermaid Run® and we are pulling out all the stops. So get your fins ready and apply your glittery scales because The Mermaid Run 2025 is going to make waves!!
Registration will be available for in person 5k, the Mermaid Mile, Virtual MerFriends and International MerFriends.
In person race will be held at Fin-tastic Aberdeen Festival Park, Aberdeen, Maryland August 23rd, 2025 at 8:00am!
With Mer-Friends and Merminis from all over the world registering, it's more than jusy a local fun run but internationationally know! We loved seeing all our in-person and virtual MerFriends in their costumes and Mermaid Gear!! We would love to see our fin-tastic friends running, walking, skipping and dancing under the sea and crossing that finish line again! 🧜‍♀️🌊
The 5K Race will be professionally chip-timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing and offers a marathon-quality 5k finisher's medal and event shirt for all participants. The course is USATF Certified - Fast and FLAT! Costumes are encouraged, and we will have music, decorations and prizes!!
Proceeds will benefit the Sea of Hope Foundation, a non-profit offering financial assistance to help with the cost of funeral, cremation and burials as well as emotional support and bereaved siblings scholarships for continuing education. www.seaofhopefoundation.org
This event was created to honor the life of our Daughter, Ariella. This year, Ariella, would have turned 7 years old in April. We wanted to celebrate and remember her short but impacting life and thought what better way than to help other families like ours who never thought they would have to plan for burial plots, cremation, funeral services while expecting a baby. No one should ever have to go through the loss of a child but the honest truth is that many do. Through our support and event we hope to raise enough money to help many families.
We are so honored and humbled by how many of our new MerFriends celebrated our daughter's short but impacting life by registering to run. We know she would have loved to have seen everyone's fin-tastic costumes, balloons and bubbles!!
