The event is held in the context of the “Overcome Distances” exhibition that addresses the childhood of Dalia Grinkevičiūtė in interwar Kaunas, a writer and physician who endured a painful experience but demonstrated remarkable tenacity during and after the deportation
The event is part of the La Saison de la Lituanie en France: 'Se voir en L'autre" - the biggest cultural project outside of Lithuania to date, taking place throughout France. Based on a partnership between Lithuania and France, the programme introduces contemporary Lithuania to the French public in various forms for three months. More than 300 events will take place with the participation of over 500 artists. Lithuania will be discussed through visual arts, architecture and heritage, performing arts, classical and contemporary music, cinema, literature, gastronomy, debates and conferences. The season will include events to promote diplomacy, the economy and innovation, scientific and educational cooperation projects
