THE MARTIANS EXHIBITION COMES TO DAYTONA BEACH
Did you know that some of the most influential Hungarian scientists of the 20th century were nicknamed “The Martians” in the United States?
Their extraordinary intellect, groundbreaking discoveries, and mysterious Hungarian language led their American colleagues to joke that they must have come from another planet.
They were not from Mars — they came from Hungary.
Many of these extraordinary minds found opportunities in the United States to continue their research, develop groundbreaking ideas, and make contributions that helped transform the modern world.
