THE MARCELLO CARELLI QUARTET

Drummer, composer, and arranger Marcello Carelli has played with Grammy award-winning musicians such as John Daversa, Brian Lynch and Trevor Ware in both small group and big band settings. He has also shared the bandstand with Russell Ferrante, Dave Liebman, Ira Sullivan, Martin Bejerano, Walt Weiskopf, Andy Fusco, Wycliffe Gordon, Shelly Berg, and Troy Roberts. Marcello has performed to sold-out crowds in Italy, Suriname, and the Netherlands with his trio and quintet in addition to giving masterclasses in those countries. He is currently getting his master’s in jazz studies at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music under the mentorship of 2-time Grammy award-winning drummer and composer, Peter Erskine.

Marcello leads a GREAT band featuring Sam Ross, piano, and Jesse Katz, bass.

Parking is located under the building, accessible from west of the building off of 1st St. between Bunker Hill Towers and the mini-shopping center AU LAC is in.

Once you’ve turned into the large driveway, turn left into the garage “Guest Parking and Residence Parking of The Promendade”. $12 CASH ONLY.

There is limited street parking in front of Au Lac, Disney Hall and The Music Center.

Birds of a Feather Jazz Lounge is located inside the wonderful AU LAC Vietnamese Vegan Restaurant.

The restaurant is located in the middle of the mini-shopping center at 710 W. 1st Street.

1st and Hope has the four corners:  1. the back of Disney Hall, 2. the back of the Dorothy Chandler, 3. the DWP parking lot, and 4. a mini-shopping center which has AU LAC in the corner.
