This holiday season, the Arizona Winds brings the magic of Christmas to life with The Many Moods of Christmas, a festive concert filled with beloved carols and joyful melodies. The program opens with A Festive Christmas, setting the tone for an afternoon of celebration, followed by Winter Dances, evoking the crisp air and snowfall of the season. The concert continues with Angels, From the Realms of Glory and a lively Christmas Medley, featuring the band’s principal trombonist, Jim Lee. A highlight of the first half, Robert Russell Bennett’s Many Moods of Christmas Suite 2, offers a stirring arrangement of classic carols. After intermission, The Bells of Christmas and Morton Gould’s Jingle Bells bring holiday cheer, while Julie Giroux’s Nutcracker Fantasia reimagines Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet. The concert concludes with a whimsical musical journey following Saint Nicholas, a traditional Christmas sing-along, and a special encore with a guest conductor. Families, friends, and community members are invited to this free heartwarming celebration of Christmas joy and tradition.
