The Manhattan Mix-Off

On Tuesday March 11 2025 Madison Square Park Conservancy and Barlume invite you to experience the artistry of modern mixology and the timeless allure of New York’s most iconic cocktail at The Manhattan Mix-Off. Bringing together an impressive lineup of the city’s most acclaimed mixologists – Jopus Grevelink from Bazaar Bar Nathalie Durrieu from Experimental Cocktail Club Dorian Garcia from Patent Pending and Erin Gabriella from Thyme Bar – this memorable evening at Flatiron’s newest all-day dining establishment Barlume will be action packed as our contestants vie to have their cocktail designated the official “Madison Square Park Manhattan.”

New York’s own Widow Jane Whiskey will be the top-shelf rye featured in each participant’s tempting tipple. Tim McKirdy managing editor of VinePair will be the competition’s MC leading our mixologists celebrity judges and guests through a “spirited” journey of cocktail-making and tasting.

Our panel of distinguished judges – Julie Reiner acclaimed mixologist cocktail lounge owner and author; John Meadow Founder and President of the international brand LDV Hospitality; and Widow Jane Head Distiller Sienna Jevremov – will sip sniff and scrutinize each competitive concoction before crowning the official “Madison Square Park Manhattan.” Best of all guests will have the opportunity to try all four entries.

All proceeds from this exciting event benefit Madison Square Park Conservancy which raises 100% of the funds to maintain and program Flatiron NoMad’s most treasured neighborhood oasis. Barlume whose owner John Meadow is a trustee of the nonprofit Conservancy is hosting the fundraiser along with sponsor Widow Jane.

At 5:30 PM VIP attendees have the exclusive opportunity to watch the cocktail competition firsthand. General Admission opens at 6:30 PM when all guests will be treated to Manhattans (of course) as well as a full open bar passed hors d’ouevres and entertainment.
