The new acoustic duo M&M Collective will be making their debut with original songs and folk covers. The M&M Collective is the duo project of Mirna Hosny and Mona Raza. Although they had met years ago as PTA moms at their children's school, they reconnected as empty-nesters when they both picked up the guitar and started playing at guitar circles and open mics hosted by 3rd Street Coffeehouse, where they now volunteer. They discovered the combination of Mona's quirky original songs with Mirna's melodic vocals went together like chocolate and peanut butter.
Caroline Beatrous is a singer-songwriter and ukulele player originally from South Louisiana. She and her family recently planted roots in Roanoke and are very happy with their choice. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist by day and works diligently on her songwriting project, Two Birds, One Song, by night. The first original song for this project, which can be found on YouTube, was an appeal to Trader Joe’s headquarters to hear the people’s plea and finally establish a store location in Roanoke. No word from Joe yet. Blending humor, storytelling, and heartfelt lyricism, Caroline performs a mix of original music and covers spanning a variety of genres. She is excited to become a part of the local music community and share her songs with audiences throughout the Roanoke area.
