In this talk, artist Le’Andra LeSeur will examine the conceptual processes behind the creation of her three-channel video work Superwoman. Tracing how its foundational thesis has informed her practice, she will situate Superwoman as a critical point of departure for later works, including Monument Eternal, illuminating continuities that has shaped ongoing investigations into embodiment, memory, and transformation. Join us following the lecture for the opening reception of Superwoman at 7 p.m. The reception will be held at the Samek Art Museum Downtown at 416 Market Street, Lewisburg, PA.
