About this Event
David Bryce (1803 - 1876) was one of Victorian Britain's most prolific architects, whose opulent, richly-modelled architecture left a lasting impression on Scotland, where he led the revival of the Scottish baronial style. In this talk, Dr Ralph St Clair Wade, lecturer in the History of Art at Cambridge University, provides an introduction to Bryce's country house practice and offers new insights into the architect's work, drawn from his doctoral research.
