The Magick of Avalon and the Holy Grail
Day Long Intensive with Christopher Penczak
We live in a time of the Wastleland, the ruin of the world by Three Dolorous Blows disrupting humanity’s relationship with the land and with the sacred. The cure to the wasting is the Quest of the Holy Grail, a story that bridges the traditions of the Abrahamic faiths with those of ancient Paganism. Historically starting as the Cauldron of the Goddess, the grail myth has transformed into a modern mystery weaving its way into many cultures and traditions. In this day long intensive, we will learn the history and poetry surrounding the grail, but more importantly dive into the mystery through communion with the guardians and allies of the Grail, bridging the world of Camelot and humanity with the Isle of Avalon and the divine spirits of healing, love, and wisdom. We will seek aid from the Nine Ladies of the Apple Isle and explore the mystery of the Merlin. We shall seek the Grail Castle, with its beasts, kings, and challenges to learn “Whom Does the Grail Serve?” Explore the five miraculous changes of the grail, and learn to join the Company of the Grail and return the People to the Grail and the Grail to the People, awaking the sacred wellsprings of the world. Mediate the magick of Avalon and the mysteries of the Heart of the World.
Christopher Penczak is a modern Witch working in the Temple of Witchcraft tradition and community he helped co-found. His practice focuses on the intersection of Love, Will, and Wisdom as an ethos for today’s Witch, and focuses upon relationships with the plant realm, the patterns of astrology, traditional occultism, and the use of trance in the Craft. He is the author of many books, including the award winning Temple of Witchcraft series, The Plant Spirit Familiar, and The Mighty Dead, as well as the co-owner of Copper Cauldron Publishing. Christopher keeps an office in New Hampshire and sees clients in-person and online for readings, healing, and personal consultations. His vision is of an evolving Witchcraft culture making magick accessible to all, yet preserving the heart of the mystery.
