This is a 4 day 3 night ride to Mae Hong Son and Pai via Khun Yuam starting on the 30th of January and returning on the 2nd of Feb.Meet up at the PTT on the canal road

Two nights in Mae Hong Son,
Day 2 we will ride to the end of the 3018 where there is a suspension bridge across the river to Wat Nam Phiang Din. this is less than 1km to the Burma border. From there up to Ban Rak Thai and then Su Tong Pae Bridge.
Day 3 ride to Pai
As everyone knows I am not a fast rider so if anyone wants to blast a section, not a problem but please give plenty of room to those that you overtake.
Accommodation
In Mae Hong Son we will stay in the Piya guesthouse which has the best location, 800B a night no breakfast.
In Pai we will stay in The Heart of Pai also 800B a night, also no breakfast.
You have to book your own accommodation but the Piya is very Popular.
Day 1
Stands up 0930
Turn left from the PTT station on the Canal Road
After 19km turn right onto the 108
After 23km turn right onto the 1009
After 38km turn left onto the 1192
After 10km go straight ahead onto the 1088
At this junction around the corner on the left is the Mae Chaem Gate restaurant

After 29km Reach the fuel station in Ban Mae Na Chon

After 6km turn left onto the 1263
Another fuel station is here in Ban Pang Ung

These are not named fuel stations but they do have a pump and its better than pushing!
After 66km Arrive at the 108 in Khun Yuam
A total of 212km
Before we turn right on the 1263 to join the 108, if we continue straight ahead for 200M we arrive at Coffee Jacks which used to be a pleasant stop

Turn right onto the 108 for 66km until the roundabout
Take the 2nd exit, straight over onto KhunLum Praphat Road
After 2.5km turn right
After 500m Arrive at the Piya guesthouse on the right hand side.

Day 2
Stands up 0900
Out of the Piya, turn left and return to the main road. Turn left.
Straight over the roundabout and continue on the 108.
After 9km turn right onto the 3018
After 16km reach the end of the 3018
Return back to the 108
After 16km turn left onto the 108
Return to the Roundabout outside MHS
After 9km at the roundabout take the first left onto the 128, the MHS bypass
After 7km turn left on a short connecting road to join the 5019
Turn right onto the 5019
After 5km turn left onto the 4001
After 33km arrive at Ban Rak Thai. 94
One of the favoured bike stops is at the Coffee Ban Din on the right hand side. Parking just past there on the right. I might suggest a ride around the lake in case a better place to stop arises.
On The return after 25km there may be an interesting coffee stop at Ban Mok Cham Pae,

From the Whitehouse Turn right
After 6km turn left onto unmarked road After 1km arrive at the car park for Su Tong Pae bridge

From the car park turn left onto unmarked local road
After 2km rejoin the 4001, turn left
After 2km turn right onto the 1095
After 9 km turn left towards the guesthouse
After 1km reach guesthouse.
Total about 140km
Day 3
Stands up 0930
Out of the guesthouse turn left and up to the main road and turn right/
After 60km reach Bar 124 for a coffee break and food if anyone is hungry, turn left into the car park. If I remember rightly the owner is Steve and from Portsmouth

After 23km arrive at Doi Kiew Lom Viewpoint, the highest point of the road.. We will stop here for a break. Interestingly Google maps note one of the vendors as ‘’The Girls with the Sausage Stand’’
After 25km arrive at the Heart of Pai.
The PTT station is only a few meters past there on the opposite side so I will probably top the tank ready for the next day.

Day 4
Stands up 0930
1095 all the way to Chiang Mai.
After 76km Turn right into Prankled coffee.

After 19km arrive at the 1095/107 intersection
Go straight over onto the 1014
After 2km turn right onto the 1001 and follow you own routes home
