The Lyrebird Festival returns in 2026, from Thursday the 12th to Sunday the 15th of November, celebrating the spectacular Megalong Valley with music, art, food & wine, talks & nature walks. Founded and directed by the Bowerbird Collective, and supported by Lot 101, this event brings together art, science and conservation, and includes local culinary delights, and intimate, world-class performances.
2026 features an incredible line-up:
Joseph Tawadros - oud
Lior - singer-songwriter
Mindy Meng Wang - guzheng
Lotte Betts-Dean - soprano
Alice Morgan - saxophone
Ronan Apcar - keyboard
Where Water Meets - chamber folk
The Bowerbird Collective - art for nature
Sharon Field - art installation, 'The Scrolls - 3000 days... and counting'
2026 also sees the launch of our Festival Hub, a luxurious marquee beside the Old Stables, our main concert venue, that will host an outstanding series of talks, hosted by Gregg Borschmann, performances, films screenings and happenings, while providing a place for festival patrons to unwind, sip a glass of something glorious and enjoy the scenery.
*The Bowerbird Collective reserves the right to change the festival program without notice, including performers and speakers.
TICKET OPTIONS:
Festival Pass - $500 - includes all concerts and Festival Hub events (talks, performances and film screenings). Walks booked separately.
Individual Concert tickets - from just $5 for children and $40 for adults.
Festival Hub events - includes talks, performances and film screenings. The Festival Hub program will launch very soon. Day Passes and Weekend Passes will be available for purchase, as well as walk-up tickets.
LOCATION:
All events are in the Megalong Valley, 2 hours drive from Sydney and 15 minutes from Blackheath. Aside from the concert at Megalong Creek Estate Winery (217 Aspinall Rd, Megalong Valley), all other concerts, walks and talks are in very close proximity to the Megalong Valley Tea Rooms on Megalong Rd.
