The Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion hosts a Jazz Vesper Service from September through April each year and features some of the most talented musicians in the area. The vesper service is from 4-5:30 pm on the third Sunday of the month and is free to the public.
In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month for the April Vesper Service, the Church welcomes vocalist Joanna Pascale with her tribute to her mentor and friend vocalist Miss Justine who recently passed away.
There is no admission and a Free Will Offering is asked to cover the musicians.
Doors open at 3:30 pm. The Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion is located at 2110 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
There is on-street parking: Free street parking on Sundays in vicinity of the church on Walnut & Locust Streets & 21st-23rd Streets. Be careful to observe all parking signs. Indoor Parking: $9 with validation next to the church on Sansom Street.
