The Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節) is a traditional harvest festival celebrated across many Asian cultures. Falling on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, it is a time when the moon is at its brightest and fullest. This festival symbolizes family reunion, much like the roundness of the mooncakes we share. Historically, it was a time to give thanks for the harvest and pray for good fortune, represented today through the vibrant glow of lanterns and the sweetness of seasonal treats.
