The Lover's Offering is an intimate evening of poetry and live music with Bronx poet Nya, also known as Purpose's Pen.

Through soul-stirring poetry and live instrumentation, Nya invites us into a space where every version of ourselves is welcome to sit at the same table—the ones we've outgrown, the ones we're becoming, and the ones still waiting to be named. This is a love offering to the self. A slow return to your body. A reminder to breathe deeper, soften your grip, and remember that home has always lived within you.

Inspired by intimacy, this is an evening designed to be felt as much as it is heard—a space to slow down, soften, and let yourself be witnessed without needing to become anyone else.

Each year, Nya hosts The Give Back, an expression of gratitude to the community that raised her. Rooted in love for the Bronx and the people who continue to shape her journey, this annual tradition is her way of pouring into others with the same generosity that has poured into her. The Lover's Offering is an extension of that spirit. Every ticket purchased helps make this year's Give Back possible, allowing an evening of art, vulnerability, and connection to ripple outward into tangible care for the community.

Presented by NEFER Bookcafé, this is more than a performance. It is a practice of remembering that caring for ourselves and caring for one another are never separate acts.
