Join our rangers on a guided kayak trip to learn the maritime history of the York River.
About this Event

The York River was home to four manned lighthouses: Bells Rock, Pages Rock, Tue Marshes, and York Spit. Bells Rock was the uppermost, just two miles below West Point. Pages Rock was the only other light above the Coleman (Rt. 17) Bridge. Kayak with us to Croaker Landing and discover the history of the two beacons and where the replacement automated lights still guide maritime traffic today.

Please note, due to river conditions the paddle may only stay on the creek, and you will not enter a lighthouse during the tour. Solo Kayaks are $16, Tandem Kayaks are $11 per person. Reserve your spot here and pay the day of the trip. We will provide all paddles, kayaks and personal flotation devices. This event is subject to cancellation or rescheduling dependant on weather. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes and lots of sunscreen!
