Join the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center in parthership with Gilead, Oakland Pride, and the Lakeshore LGBTQ Cultural District for a FREE WORLD AIDS DAY film screening and community talkback of the new film Lost Holliday starring Vivica A. Fox and Jussie Smollett.
The film will be screened at the historic Grand Lake Theater in Oakland's new LGBTQ Cultural District.
ABOUT THE FILM
"The Lost Holliday" explores themes of family dynamics, friendship, fatherhood, adoption, mother-son and father-daughter relationships, grief, and the bonds of love that transcend time, generational trauma, and even death. The film also celebrates LGBTQIA+ representation and the importance of acceptance, shining a light on the adversity and triumphs of a same-gender-loving couple navigating family dissension and societal presumptions.
Written by Jerrell Chesney & Jussie Smollett, the film was produced by Jussie Smollett, Mona Scott-Young, and Tressa Azarel Smallwood. Executive producers include Tom Wilson, Janet Smollett, Joe “Jody” Williams, Eddie Mac, Stephanie R. Gayle, James Earl Hardy, Jerrell Chesney, Michael Lang, Anthony Smallwood, Sheila Legette and Vivica A. Fox.
