Join the Looney Lutherans at The Amana Performing Arts Center as they take you on their journey to a JOYFUL HEART.
From the writers of Church Basement Ladies, The Looney Lutherans are a trio of wacky gals who use music and comedy to share their age-old wisdom for living a long and lively life, the Lutheran way. In LIVIN’ LA VIDA LUTHERAN (inspired by the Ricky Martin song!) they introduce you to the “6HHP” - the 6 “Happy Heart” petals. Using their tips, you, too, can have a joyful heart. Segments include the Menopause Medley, a disco salute to Hotdish, Lutheran Yoga, and do-it-yourself Beauty Tips. You might even be invited to join Bella in a simple exercise routine using items found in your very own home. Material is comedic and family friendly, and you don’t have to be Lutheran to love ‘it!
The idea for the “Looney Lutherans” was cooked up in 2006 when the founding members were appearing in the cast of the hit musical CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES. The company has since expanded to include additional “Loonies” - all talented women who have been performing for years as professional actresses, writers, singers, and improvisers. As the Looney Lutherans they have appeared together at numerous Fairs and Festivals, around the country.
