About this Event
The Living Room is more than an open mic night—it’s a faith-filled space for truth, healing, and community. This evening, we’re tackling the narrative of the Strong Black Woman—a label that often dismisses vulnerability, rest, and softness. Through spoken word, music, and faith-centered conversation, we’ll explore what true strength looks like when we allow ourselves to just be and lean into God's grace. Whether you're a poet, singer, storyteller, or someone simply seeking encouragement, this night is for you.
Why You Should Attend:
✨ Experience powerful spoken word, live performances, and live band centered on faith, healing, and identity
✨ Engage in a transformative discussion on resilience, vulnerability, and embracing God's strength
✨ Connect with community that values storytelling, transperancy, and authenticity
✨ Learn more about Her Counsel, a mental health initiative for BIPOC Christian women

🌸 About Her Counsel
Her Counsel is a mental wellness initiative dedicated to helping BIPOC Christian women find faith-centered mental health resources. We are building a digital platform that connects women to Christian therapists, counselors, and community support groups—ensuring that healing is both accessible and spiritually enriching.
This event will also serve as a launchpad to spread awareness about Her Counsel and its mission. A portion of the proceeds will go toward developing this initiative and expanding mental health accessibility for BIPOC women of faith.
🔹 Donations are welcome to support Her Counsel and its mission to connect BIPOC Christian women with mental health resources.
