The Anthony J. Leggett Institute for Condensed Matter Theory and Illinois Physics invite the scientific community to join us for “The Life and Science of Anthony J. Leggett,” a conference celebrating the extraordinary scientific legacy of Sir Anthony J. “Tony” Leggett.
From October 9–11, researchers from Illinois and institutions around the world will gather in Urbana-Champaign for three days of talks and discussions spanning areas of physics profoundly influenced by Tony’s work.
The program will explore superfluid helium-3, high-temperature superconductivity, quantum coherence and quantum computation, ultracold atoms, glasses, unconventional superconductivity, and more. Sessions will also look toward the future, bringing together leading researchers to discuss emerging questions and directions across condensed matter and quantum physics.
Join us as we celebrate Tony’s remarkable scientific life and the ideas, discoveries, and community that continue his legacy.
