The Librarians (2025) is an Emmy Award-winning film that examines the personal, sometimes hostile attacks directed at librarians on the front lines of the fight for intellectual freedom. As book bans reach unprecedented levels in Texas, Florida and across the United States, the film highlights the vital role librarians play in defending the public's right to read. Presented in partnership with fsm, an independent journal for the arts, who will be introducing the movie and leading a panel discussion. Directed by Kim A. Snyder.
