About this Event

'The Lens We Carry' is a mixed-media exhibition that explores the hidden psychological weight of maintaining a digital identity. This project examines the invisible labour of self-maintenance embedded in how social media and digital technologies have become extensions of daily life.

It involves four main artefacts - with three out of the four being short, interactive pieces. This involves the use of augmented reality (AR) and interactive design. These works materialise the invisible, everyday actions that define our lives on social media.

The exhibition is hosted as part of a final year project by DCU Multimedia students. It will take place on Friday, 27th March, from 12 - 4PM. The venue is located in the Media Room (First floor, Henry Grattan Building) on the DCU Glasnevin Campus. Following your visit, we invite you to share your thoughts through either a brief 5-10 minute interview or a short online survey. The information you provide will contribute to the project's research.
