You will hear Malala Yousafzai’s powerful words of courage, a tribute to Afghan poet Nadia Anjuman, and a powerful and uplifting arrangement of "Harriet Tubman". Bernstein’s charming "French Choruses" from "The Lark" present his interpretation of Renaissance folk songs with an ode to Joan of Arc. "Quilt Songs: Women Weaving the Fabric of Life" was inspired by the quilts of Kay McCarthy—these musical settings by women composers weave together joy, generosity, wisdom, and beauty.
