Join us at Morris Cemetery in Phoenixville on Wednesday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. as we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the death of Governor Samuel W. Pennypacker, Pennsylvania’s 23rd governor and one of the region’s most influential historians and public figures.
The program will include a brief speech on Pennypacker’s life, accomplishments, and lasting legacy, followed by a wreath-laying at his gravesite. Guests will then have the opportunity to learn about other Pennypacker family members buried at Morris Cemetery and hear about tombstone cleaning and preservation efforts that help protect this important historic resource for future generations. All are welcome to attend this free event.
