The Legacy Gala - Join The Peninsula of Mobile for a night of elegance and purpose as we honor the legacy of the American maritime icon the S.S. United States as she prepares for her final voyage. We celebrate her legacy and look at what our own shorelines are facing here in Mobile Bay. 🌊
Coastal erosion and the bathtub effect are scouring our waterfronts and depleting our marine habitats but together we can change this! The Peninsula of Mobile is teaming up with Mobile Bay National Estuary Program to implement Living Shorelines along the western shore of Mobile Bay - transforming our waterfront into a resilient accessible and environmentally responsible asset for Mobile’s future.
