The RCM Latin Jazz Ensemble is an exciting 10-piece band led by Ruben Vazquez on piano. Ruben Vazquez is from Havana, Cuba where he graduated from the prestigious Conservatory "Amadeo Roldan”. He is also a graduate of Toronto’s Royal Conservatory and has earned a PhD at York University. He is currently on faculty at both the Oscar Peterson School of Music and Humber College. Ruben is an in-demand pianist and bandleader on the Toronto scene and has toured Europe, South America and the United States.
The RCM Latin Jazz Ensemble have performed at many venues including South Coast Jazz, Burning Kiln Winery, The Royal Conservatory of Toronto, The Toronto Canoe and Sailing Club, Port Credit Residences, Red Fox Farm, The Coach House and numerous private events.
