SoundTracks of a Generations' homage to iconic rock group THE BAND takes a slight turn from when it was performed at the Arcada in January of 2020. The premise of the show has always, and will always be built around the Martin Scorsese film that documents the final concert on Thursday, November 25, 1976.
This legendary swan song concert was held at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom, the same venue where The BAND first performed in 1969, booked by legendary promoter Bill Graham.
This rockumentary shares the storied highlights of the concert weaving a multimedia show with music by some of Chicago’s finest musicians and singers, covering rock icons like Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Dr. John, Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell, and, new to this show, The Staples Singers and Emmylou Harris.
