The Last Twins with Patrick McMahon

This program is part of our 3rd Annual Author, Film, and Music Festival Series showcasing renowned speakers, authors, and musicians.
About this Event

Join Patrick McMahon to discover the extraordinary story of Erno "Zvi" Spiegel, an unsung hero of the Holocaust who risked everything to protect the most vulnerable in Auschwitz—dozens of young boys, many of them twins, targeted by Dr. Josef Mengele for brutal pseudo-medical experimentation. Through courage, compassion, and ingenuity, Spiegel shielded these children from death and unimaginable harm. Drawing on firsthand testimony and archival material, he helped shape their extraordinary story of survival and resilience. The film premiered in Krakow in January 2025 as part of the 80th anniversary commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz.
