The Last Ice Age and First Arrival of Human Habitation in Wisconsin

Humans as a species underwent a long journey to make their way to what is now Wisconsin. From new archeological finds of human emergence in Africa to technological innovations that allowed us to spread across the globe, we overcame innumerable obstacles to ultimately venture into the Americas. The program will discuss recent archeological discoveries that lead to revised theories on how we emerged, paleontological evidence and human challenges of the last Ice Age in Wisconsin and the current understanding of when the first peoples entered the state.
