Studio 303 is an incredible and unique organization and they are moving from their Belgo Building location to a new space.
.
The Belgo building location has been a home for dancers for over 30 years and especially has been a welcoming space for street dancers and Breakers.
Just to name a few dates:
I took my first modern dance class there in 1997, my end of year showcase for the Concordia dance department was there in 1998,
Taught my first Break classes there in 2003,
Organized my first all styles event Eccentric Cypher there in 2004,
Organized a Break workshop with B-boy Poe One there in 2008,
Organized and Taught the Be Thee Rise
B-girl workshops there in 2023 and hundreds of people have come to my classes and free class days over the last 23 years.
And many other Break and Street dance sessions, events and classes have happened in this space over the years!
.
This event is to celebrate the shift by cyphering together in the Belgo space one last time, to honour all the amazing moments over the years and most importantly to say thanks to Studio 303 and offer a hand in their moving process.
