During The Great War (1914-18) the British Army recruited tens of thousands of men between 5' - 5'3''. These men came from all over Britain, Ireland and Canada and were formed into special 'Bantam Battalions'. They saw action in some of the bloodiest battles of that war yet have been largely forgotten. Their story inspired me to write my one-man play, 'The Last Bantam' and perform it in the 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.The Last Bantam is 55-60 minutes in length.
Following the play there will be a 15 minute toilet / leg-stretch break and then a 20 min Q&A.
