Join us Daylight Saving to welcome the shift of season and longer nights ahead with a gathering, song, snacks, and Lantern Walk into darkness. This is a free community event for all🙂.

Planning Ahead: it’s fun to make your own! 🫙 🕯️
Last Minute: any small light will do! 🔦
What will happen: Head towards the playground after sunset. We will have refreshments and free play waiting for your family.
We will gather in a circle and share a few words about the change of season. We will light our lanterns, then join together in song.
Our event culminates with a short jaunt around St. Mary’s campus, or an optional viewing of the passing lanterns. Our walk will be timed so that the sky grows notably darker upon our return. The walk is well under a quarter mile and is jogger stroller friendly. Sometimes the children choose to do a second loop, and everyone heads out when they are ready.
Simple, short, sweet, and a reset to your seasonal rhythm.
