Poetry is Play is excited to join forces with Playground Studios to bring The Language of Liberation to life. In this hour-and-a-half poetry workshop, we'll explore the way language shapes our lived experience and how it can become a tool for building more equitable ways of living together. We'll be examining the work ofAmílcar Cabraland reflect on how our writing practice shapes the way we show up for ourselves and our communities. Participants will leave with their own original piece and two different writing exercises to integrate into their individual practice.

This workshop is designed to hold space for personal reflection while fostering genuine collaboration. All skill levels are welcome. Come ready to find wonderment, craft alongside others, and discover the unexpected threads that connect our individual and shared stories.
