About this Event

She is an acclaimed American poet, educator, and cultural advocate, best known as the first African American and third woman to serve as North Carolina Poet Laureate. Join us as we welcome Jaki Shelton Green, for an intimate conversation and book signing.

Through poetry and personal insight, Green explores how loss shapes our lives while revealing the enduring presence of love, resilience, and hope. We invite you to gather and reflect on your own journey, and experience the transformative power of language in times of sorrow and renewal.

Please feel free to arrive by 5:00; the event will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Jaki's books will be available for sale at the event or can be purchased prior to the event at most book stores.
