The Land Speaks Community Folk Opera
About this Event
An immersive, interactive exploration of this region’s colonialist history
We will be telling our story as though the land is speaking, telling all that the mountains and trees have witnessed.
Amanda West and Sarah MacEwan will teach us their songs. David Stockhausen will interweave ritual and practices that help us to open and move through all the feelings that may arise. We will take support of each other in compassionate community and we have the land to ground us.
Content warning: we will be talking about ecocide, genocide, violence and harm. We will also be offering space and practices to metabolize the grief and pain which comes with facing these.
