Kanakavalli Coimbatore is delighted to present Korvai Connect, an exhibit of kanjivaram silk saris with traditional korvai borders. Intricate in execution, the woven attachment of korvai borders is one of the hallmarks of a kanjivaram classic, enhancing the sari's bold use of colour and allowing for stunning contrasts of colour. This weave detail becomes a design feature in itself, taking the form of a straight line interlock, more traditional sharp edged triangle and elaborate temple inspired gopuram forms.
