About this Event
The Kite Garden is a permaculture garden on Prospect Row in Cambridge, spanning the Free Press and Brandon Court residential home. It is the heart of a neighbourhood-wide biodiversity project, led by Together Culture, that develops wellbeing and deepens people’s connections with nature.
In these gardening gatherings, we’ll use the garden as a living classroom to explore how we act, not just what we do. Taking the question ‘What Does it Mean to be a Gardener?’ as a starting point, we’ll build:
- Collaborative relationships with the residents of Brandon Court to support wellbeing and connection
- Systems thinking skills – noticing patterns, relationships and feedback loops in the garden and in our lives
- Nature-based connection – slowing down, being outdoors, and recognising that we’re a part of the natural world
Each month you can expect a mix of simple, accessible gardening tasks (no experience needed), social connection activities, and short reflections on permaculture principles and how they relate to our own lives.
