The Kirklees Most Wanted Huddersfield Showcase

Kirklees Most Wanted, Huddersfield's leading showcasing event for local talent and hottest new music, is proud to announce its first event of the new year, set to electrify The Northern Quarter on Saturday, January 10th.

The Kirklees Most Wanted Showcase promises an extraordinary night of live music, celebrating the thriving and diverse music scene within Kirklees. By providing a vital platform for local artists to shine, this event offers music fans the chance to discover their next favourite act in an intimate, high-energy atmosphere.

"The Kirklees Most Wanted Showcase is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of the thriving music scene in Kirklees," says the founder of the Kirklees Most Wanted project. "We are dedicated to highlighting the incredible talent within our community."

Featured Lineup: The Northern Quarter, Huddersfield (Jan 10th)

The showcase will feature four exceptional acts spanning a dynamic mix of genres:

● Rillington Place: This alternative metal band, featured on the Kirklees Most Wanted playlist with their track "Lament," is known for their heavy sound and active presence on the live circuit. They are currently focusing on new music, with an EP expected soon.

● Eskar & Micky Swags: An impactful, fiercely independent hip-hop artist and label owner (Nuke Fam Records), Eskar is a prominent figure in the UK underground rap scene. Known for his dense lyricism and genre versatility, he will be joined by his frequent partner, Micky Swags. Their performance will feature tracks like "Kaiju" and a mental health-focused piece, "116 123."

● Leo Brazil: A Huddersfield-based musician, songwriter, and producer, Leo Brazil’s original and exciting songs blend acoustic, folk, pop, and psychedelia influences.

● Sophie & Songs: An independent singer/songwriter focusing on folk music, Sophie & Songs delivers "hauntingly beautiful folk tracks" with mesmerising acoustic guitar and stirring harmonies. Her stripped-back, authentic style allows her self-expressive songs, such as "Denial" and "Love Betrayed Me," to resonate deeply with listeners.

The night’s energy will be sustained by Fiesta La Ginger, who will open the event and fill the intermissions between live acts with high-energy DJ sets.
